Signal transmission over long distances

Wireless signal transmission over long distances using a powerful Myrepeater repeater

Over time, many rural areas began to be used for communication between cities. The transport network brings many conveniences to people. And there is one important thing to consider when creating a transport network: wireless signal transmission.

For example, a new residential area in the suburbs, a new section of highway, a distant tunnel in the mountains, a metro/train station in the countryside... Without telecommunications in these places, the successful development of a new area is impossible.

What needs to be done to ensure the integrity of the telecommunications system during the construction of a development zone so that there are no obstacles to the transmission of wireless signals in rural areas?

Here we would like to introduce several new concepts: Long distance wireless signal transmission and fiber optic repeater.
Long Distance Wireless Signal Transmission: Transmitting a wireless cell phone/radio signal from a base tower to a rural area using a device called a repeater. About the repeater design suitable for long-distance wireless signal transmission, we at Myrepeater can offer you two options: regular high-gain high-power repeater and fiber optic repeater.
Fiber optic repeater: With donor booster, remote booster, donor antenna and linear antenna to realize long-distance wireless signal transmission (with 5-10 km fiber cable).

The difference between a regular high-power repeater and a fiber optic repeater:

As you can see from the photos, the biggest difference between these two systems is the following: The fiber optic repeater extends from the Host booster and Line booster. These two sections are connected by a length of tuned fiber optic cable. Or we can say host booster plus line booster is equivalent to one normal high-power repeater. With the fiber optic repeater system, we can realize long-distance wireless signal transmission, suitable for rural areas.

So that you can learn more about long-distance wireless signal transmission and Myrepeater's powerful signal booster, here we would like to share with you the whole process of one of our projects: Highway Tunnel Network Solution.

On April 22, 2022, we, Myrepeater, received an inquiry from Mr. Liu stating that he was awarded a contract for a government project: construction of a highway tunnel. At the same time, he needs to solve the problem of poor cell phone signal reception during the tunnel construction process. So he turned to Myrepeater for help.

After talking with our client Mr. Liu, we learned that the length of one tunnel is 2.8 km. And our challenge was to deliver a complete network solution to cover two unidirectional tunnels (each approximately 2.8 km). Due to the long distance, we had to use a fiber optic repeater instead of a conventional high-power repeater.

To cover two 2.8 km long tunnels, we recommend installing two fiber optic repeater systems on each side (east and west). Each host booster must be connected to 2 line boosters, so a two-way splitter must be used to implement it. And each linear amplifier must be connected to 2 transmitting antennas, a 2-way splitter is also needed here. As we know, each transmitting antenna can cover the range from 500-800m, so the complete plan as shown in the figure is reasonable.

Myrepeater has more than 10 years of experience in producing signal amplifiers and supplying network solutions to customers, especially professional in long-distance wireless signal transmission project and installing high-power repeaters. We also have different models for customers to choose according to different applications.
